Despite
the availability of many residential flooring products (laminate, vinyl, tile,
wood, stone and many others), carpet cleaning Lantana is still the most popular ($10 billion
in revenues the other year).
Perhaps,
people loves carpet cleaning Lantana because of its warmth and softness, and that it needs
less maintenance and upkeep than hard-surface floors. Carpets require frequent
vacuuming and occasional deep;-clean scrubbing is all it needs to look fresh
and new.
Accidents
However,
carpets are not immune to the little accidents that happen being in use every
day at the office or in your house. There will be wine spills, splashes, messy
accidents with other drinks, sauces, gravy, and others.
Fortunately,
carpet professionals have some little and important tips that you can use with
regards to these accidents on your carpet.
Stains
Blot
stains and don’t scrub. When a stain occurs, resist the urge to scrub. It will
drive the stain down into the carpet. Instead, gently dab stains with a cleaning
solution and a clean cloth, paper towel or sponge.
Blotting
is putting some pressure on the stain to soak it up. When rubbing, the
particles goes down onto the carpet and leads to premature breakdown of the
fibers involved.
Blot out
the stain towards the center of the stain, doing it outward will spread the
stain across.
Vinegar and club soda
You can
use club soda to remove beer and wine stains from your carpet cleaning Lantana. If you use it
correctly, it can.
Pour our
club soda onto a clean cloth first and then blot out the stain. If the stain
appears lighter, repeat with more club soda.
If that is
not working, mix and one-to-one ratio of white vinegar and water and pour it
into a hand-held spray bottle. Spray onto the stain part. Let it soak in for
about 10 to 15 minutes.
Next,
press a clean dry sponge down onto the saturated area to soak up the cleaning
solution and the diluted stain. Repeat the process if necessary until the stain
is gone.
Once
removed, rinse the area with clean warm water. Finally, lay several white paper
towels over the area and weigh them down with something heavy, like a phone
book. Leave in place for about a day until the carpet is dry.
Shaving cream
For those
who don’t know, a shaving cream is one of the best carpet cleaners around
because it removes mot types of stains. Apply the saving cream directly onto
the stain and let it stay for about 30 minutes.
After the
shaving cream has set, blot it out with a dry white cloth. Spray the area with
a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water, and then wipe it away with a cloth.
Dish soap
Grease is
one of the most difficult stains to remove from carpeting. Place a few drops of
grease-cutting dish soap (or detergent) into a cup of warm water. Dissolve the
soap into the solution.
Transfer
the solution into a hand-held spray bottle and soak the greasy stain.
Afterwards, blot it out with a white cloth (or paper towels). Depending on the
stain’s size, you may need to repeat the process several times.
